How many people can take part: 30 people**
I want to sign up but I can't be there right at 8: You can reserve a spot by paying a small fee.***
How long will this event be: This event will go on until the last person is in the server
Rules: You MUST be playing in the server at all times. You make take a break, but it is 10 minutes at the most, or to get a drink, etc. . BUT you MUST let one of the Admins in charge of the event know when you leave and when you come back. If you are gone for longer than 10 minutes at a time, you will be disqualified from the event.

*It is a first come first serve reservation for 30 slots. Please make a note if you are not 100% sure that you can make it. If the 30 slots get filled, we will have additional signups in case any of the 30 can't make it.
**Yes we have 32 slots, BUT there will be 2 administrators to make sure everybody is there at all times.
***If you will be late you can reserve a spot for $6 USD an hour, up to 4 hours. So a total of $24 USD max. This price will go up to $8 USD an hour the week prior to the Event.

Just wanted to inform you that currently our Main Server as well as the Match Server and Ventrilo are at the Data Center which is under going a large DDOS attack.
=ADK= Members if anybody asks what is happening please inform them of the issues with our main server. I would take it off line but am not currently able to due to these attacks on the Data Center. I am not sure when these attacks will be over, but please be patient.
If you would like to play with =ADK= Just stop by any of our 3 other servers!

Alright, so I believe there is something new that TF2 is doing for the celebration of the Birthday of Team Fortress.
So more stupid birthday mode that you can't control. There is something new! Check out the pictures posted! It's a ball that says "Happy Birthday" on one side, the other side says "Team Fortress" and then it has "Red" and "Blue" on both ends. So it's the Team Fortress Birthday Ball! Much better than those dang balloons!

Steam's browser and chat windows are now grouped as tabs! You can manage multiple chats and web pages each in a single window in our latest Beta.
We've also been making some improvements to Steam's browser performance and stability, with the biggest gains on the Mac in particular. Flash video playback is now faster and more stable here, and the browser now loads cached content quickly. The video below shows a before and after comparison of our store's home page loading in the released Steam client and our latest Beta. The comparison is fair, in that both versions of the client had the same amount of time after start up to "settle," and both had the page content in their local cache. What was once molasses is now a normal web page in a normal-speed web browser. Yay!
You can give these improvements a whirl in the latest Beta by visiting Steam client Settings or Preferences and opting into the Beta Update offered there.

When submitting the payment, there should be a section called 'Special Instructions'
In that section we ask that you put your IN-GAME name in that field. This way we will be able to go and not only put your name in the server to recognize your donation but we will also be able to make sure you get the appropriate benefits in the server as well.
Another thing that you can do to ensure this process goes smooth is also to post in the DONATIONS section of the forums letting us know you donated!
We do appreciate every single one of you who have donated to the =ADK= Gaming Community! We are glad you enjoy playing in our servers enough to donate. We hope we can continue to make the atmosphere somewhere that you will always want to play because you enjoy it here!

We have been having some problems with people not getting confirmation emails. We are currently working on this issue. While this issue is still being taken care of we can still activate your account. All we need is your information that you used to register. (Username, email, etc. . ) We can then activate your account.

And please also realize that while you can send emails to us, we won't be able to send emails out to you. This is something that we are working on getting fixed, and hope it will be fixed ASAP.

At least one Golden Wrench will be destroyed on August 31. It will be the 31st wrench that was found. There are already 2 others that have joined in on this as well. Number 14 and Number 82.
They are doing this for a charity called 'Child's Play'
For those of you unfamiliar with this charity, Child's Play is associated with Penny Arcade and works to donate games, toys, and other goods to children's hospitals around the country. These items help children, many of whom are seriously (or even terminally) ill, better endure their hospital stays. This organization has consistently worked with the gaming community to show that gamers like you and me can make a positive difference in the lives of children who need our help.

TF2 MEETS ALIEN SWARM!
As I was browsing the interweb last night I came across this video.
Which clearly shows Alien Swarm in TF2. The guy doing all the work still has a long way to go and is always looking for suggestions for help as he has stated in the comments of the video. So if you have any suggestions feel free to offer help for him.
Since most of us around here play TF2 and the hit new fad called Alien Swarm I'm sure it could be a fun thing for all of us! Playing Alien Swarm and TF2 at the same time! Could you just imagine having to push the cart while killing all the swarms?!
